The weather is simply delightful, clear as
a bell, with frosty nights and sunny days;
turning the woods into a perfect paradise
for nutting parties, aud no woods can equal
those in this section of Illinois and the ad-
oining states forchoico varieties and quan
tities of walnut, butternut, shellbtirk hick
ory and tho king of American nuts, the
pecan. The king, by tho way, is coming
into market, and sella at five cents per
pound.
FLOUR The market rules steady, but
rather quiet." Stocks are fair and prices
unchanged.
HAY-atcody and firm. Choice is in

good demand, ltoceipls of all grades are
liberal.
CORN-Stocks are small and the de
mand only moderate. Prices rule firm and
unchanged,
OATS We note a betb r feeling in this
cereal. Prices us at present quoted are very

MEAL Scarce, linn and unchanged.
KHAN- Scarce and firm. Tho millsare
asking an advance over the prices of last

BUTTER -Medium and common butter

EGGS Scarce and vr.ry firm. Receipts
are all taken as soon as offered.
CHICKENS -Overstocked and very dull
has been the state of the market, but tho
