Burnett's Coconino.
TUB I1KST HAIH DHK881NO IN THE WOULD.
Burnett's Coconino allays irritation, re
moves all tendency to dandruiT, Invigorates
tliu action of the capillaries in the highest
degree, ami lias earned a deserved reputa
tion for promoting tlio growth and preserv-
intr the beauty of th human hair. Ladies
dressing their hair elaborately lor tlio even
ing will find that it imparts a healthy
natural gloss to the linir, and 'will crubo
it to retain its slmpo l'ors.
Burnett's Flavoring Extracts aro used

They are perfectly pure.
Chapped Hands.
The raw winds of lata autumn often
produce in the hands of those who are
much exposed to them that roughness
and cracking of the skin known as
chapping.
If nothing is done to prevent, and
tho person is obliged to have his hands
fiemiently wet and dried, the crack
will often get dw'p and be painful,
Corn husking is fieiiiniitly accompanied
by sore hands from this cause.
As both a nreeiuilion and a cure for
chapped lianas, we have usttd the follow
ing with beuelit: Wash the hands and
tli face, also, if it is inclined to chap,
with borax water; and afterward rub
with an ointment made by id oiling mut
ton tallow (or suet), and then gradual
ly adding an eoual quantity of glyce
rin), stirring the two together until
cool. For the hands this mixture- can
be best uppliud at night, using it freely
and warming it in by the lire, after
which an old pair of gloves can bo
jiut on to keep the bedclothes from
being soiled, and also make the skin of
the hands softer.
An excellent glycerine ointment for
chapped hands is made by melting,
with a gentle heat, two ounce of sweet
oil of almonds, half an otiuco of sperm
aceti and one drachm of white wax,
When melted remove from tho stove
and add gradually ono ounce of glycer
ine, and stir until the mixtnto is eold.
The ointment may be scented with any
perfume to suit tho fancy. Keep in
wide nocked bottles. American Agri
