This section was visited this afternoon by
a very heavy hail storm. The ground was
entirely covered with accumulated hail
stones, some of them large aj walnuts. The
storm lasted nearly a quarter ol an hour
and was accompanied by vivid lightning
and heavy thunder. The damage to fruit
and garden vegetables must be great.
The weather during the week has buen
very warm, but breezy and not at all un
pleasant. The market rules generally about the
same as last reported. Some little change
will lie noticed in prices and the condition
in one or two leading articles.
The river is large, but will not go higher
FLOUR The market is quiet and quota
tions are off ten cents on tho barrel all
around. Tho movement is very light.
HAY The market shows signs of
weakening and prices are shaded in favor
of buyers. The demand is light.
CORN Steady and unchanged. The
supply and demand are about equal both
OATS Steady and unchanged. Not
MEAL The market is weak and un
settled. Prices are shaded.
BRAN Quiet and unchanged.
BUTTER Tho demand is entirely for
choice to supply the local trade. Not
enough conies to supply this demand.
