Bo it Onlaiiifd by the Mayor and
Common Council of tho City of Globe:
SKCTION I.
It shall bo unlawful for any dog to
run tit large in tiny of tho streots, alleys,
plasms or public grounds of the City of
Globe unless sueli dog shall have secure
ly fastened on, a collar, with a duly
numbored license tag issued by tho Su
pervisor of Streets.
SKCTION II.
Kvery person desiring to obtain a li
cense lag-shall apply to tho Supervisor
of Streets at his oflico for such tag and
it shall bo- tho duty of tho Supervisor
of Streets to furnish to every person
so applying a tag upon request and upon
tho payment by said person so applying
of tho sum of Ono Dollar for every tag
for a malo dog and three dollars for
every tag for a female dog, and the Su
pervisor of Streets shall keep a register
of the name of the portion so applying,
tho amount paid, tho number of the tag
issued and the sox of thtTdog for which
said tag is desired.
SKCTION III.
The Supervisor of Streets shall pro
cure and keep In his nhiqo such number
of metal tags as may bo neeessarv and
of such slao and shape as ho shall deem
ovpediont; tho shape of such tag to be
changed each vear.
SKCTION TV.
It shall be tho duty of the Supervisor
of Streets or any of the Polico officers
of the City of Globe and each and all
of them whan any dog is found loose or
at largo upon the streets, alloys, plazas,
parks or public grounds of tho said City,
without the license tag suitable for its
sex and tho current year herein provid
ed for, to immediately eapturo and sc
cure such dog and remove hint to a
conveuieiit place, and unless the owner
of said dog shall within threo days ap
pear with tho liconso tag for such dog
and identify the dog, to kill it in as
liuiuaiio manner as is reasonably possi
ble. SECTION V.
It shall bo unlawful for any bitch or
female dog while in beat to run at large
in any of tho streots, nlloys, plazas, pub
lic grounds of tho City of Globe', whoth
or such dog shall have a liconso tag or
not. It shall bo the duty of the Super
visor of Streots or any of the Police
officers of tho City of Globe and each
and all of them, when any such dog is
found loose or at largo upon the streets,
nlloys, plazas, parks or public grounds
of the said City, to immediately eapturo
and secure such dog and romovt it to a
convenient place and within twenty-four
hours thereafter, to kill said dog in as
humane a manner as is reasonably pos
sible unless the owner thercoi shall ap
pear and identify and claim such dog.
SKCTION VI.
Any porson who allows any dog own
ed by him or under his control to run
at large upon tho streots, alleys, plazas,
parks or public grounds of the City of
Globo contrary to tho provisions of Sec
tion V of this ordinance, shall be deem
ed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined in a
sum not less than rive dollars nor more
than fifty dollars and stand committed
to the jail or calabooso of the City
until the payment of such fine, not ex
ceeding thirty days, or shall bo con
fined at hard labor upon the streets or
public works of the City for a period
not exceeding thirty days.
SECTION VIT.
This Ordinance shall bo in force from
and after its passage.

An Ordinanco Declaring Public Nuis
ances, Providing for the Abatement
Thereof and Imposing Penalties for
tho Creation, Continuance or Suffer
ing o' Nuisances to Exist.

Common Council of the City of Globe:
SECTION I.
Anvthiiif which is iniiirious to health
or indecent or offensive to tho senses or
which obstructs tho f reo use of iiroporty
or which interferes with the comfort
able enjoyment of hfo or tho property
by an entire community or neighbor
hood or by any considerable number of
unions, or which unlawfully obstructs
tho free passago or use in a customary
mannor or. any water course, puouc
place, street, sidewalk, alley or highway
in the City of Globo, is apublic nuis
ance. All water closets, pi ivies and
cesspools within said city which are or
shall bo permitted to becomo or remain
in an unwholesome or offensive condi
tion on account of the want or insuffi
cient use of proper disinfectants or
from any other reason whatever and all
filthy refuse, polluted water, garbage- or
other offensive matter or tiling whatso
ever wherever tho same shall bo or exist
within said city which causes any un
wholesome or offensive smell or eflluvia
to genornte or unwholesome condition to
exist, are each and all public nuisances.
SECTION II.
It shall bo tho duty of all persons
who create, continue or Buffer any pub

abnto and remove tho satno upon tho
complaint of any citizou or when direct

SECTION III.
It shall bo lawful for tho City Mar
shal, his duputy or deputies, any police
man, the supervisor of streots or any
of his assistants nt any time to enter
upon the lands and premises whoreon
any public nuisance shall bo or exist,
whether the lands and promises be pub
lic or privato and to abnto and romovo
such nuisanco, using such force as may
or shall bo necessary in the premises.
SECTION IV.
Every person, firm, association or cor
poration who either creates, continues
or suffurs a public nuisanco to exist,
shall bo guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction thereof shall be pun
ished by a fino of not loss than Twenty
Dollars nor more than Thrco Hundred
Dollars and shall stand committed to
tho jail or calabooso of tho City until
payment of such fino, not exceeding
three months, or bo confined at hard
labor upon tho streets and public works
of said City for a period not execoding
tluee months.
SKCTION V. -
This ordinance shall take effect and

ORDINANCE NUMBER TEN
An Ordinanco Establishing a Pound in
the City of Globo nud Prescribing
the Utiles and Regulations for the
Maintenance Thereof.
Bo it ordainod by tho Mayor and
Common Council of tho City of Globo:
SECTION I.
Tho Supervisor of Streets is horoby
constituted poundmastej; for tho City
Ol MIOIIC.
SECTION II.
The poundmaster shall hnvo tho right
to appoint such deputies of iiitituro ago
and discretion us ho may doom neces
sary for tho proper carrying on of his
business as poundniastor, but iu no enso
shall tho City bo liable for any charges
or compensation of auy nature to be
paid to said deputies except as heroin
provided, and any arrangement for sal
ary, fees or compensation mudo by the
poundmustor except us heroin provided
shall be a porsonnl chargo against him
and not ngainst tho City.
SKCTION III.
It shall be tho duty of tho poundnias
tor and his deputies to take up and
impound all animals found at large,
straying, wandering or running looso, or
not in chargo of or under the care or
control of somo person or persons in
tho streets, alloys, or othor public places
or vacant and uuincloscd lots iu the
City of Qlobo oxcopt dogs upon which
the City license has been paid and wear
ing a metal tag as provided in Ordin
anco No. VIIT.
SKCTION rv.
If the owner of any impounded ani
mal oxcept dogs shnll bo known to tho
poundmaster and shall reside or hnvo
a known place of business intho City
of Globe, the poundmaster shall notify
the owner of such animal personally or
by letter through the post-office within
twenty-four hours after suoh animal
shall liave been taken up and impound
ed. SECTION V.
Tho poundmastor shall within twenty
four hours after the taking up nnl im
pounding of any animnl except a dog,
make a written report to tho City Clerk,
stating the kind of animal and describ
ing it by color or otherwise or by any
marks or brands that may be on it and
when it was taken up and impounded,
and such report shall be kept open for
public inspection for thirty days after
it is filed.
SECTION VI.
The poundmaster shnll keep all ani
mals taken up and impounded by him
or his deputy in a safo, convenient and
comfortable place within the City lim
its, and shall keep such animals con
stantly supplied with wnter to drink,
nnd shall feed such animals at least
once every twenty-four hours and treat
them in a humane manner during tho
time such animals may bo impounded,
which shnll not be less than five days
unless sooner claimed by tho owner
thereof, oxcept dogs, which shall be kept
for three days or twenty-four hours ac
cording to the provisions of Sections IV
and V of Ordinanco No. VHI.
SKCTION VII.
All dogs taken up and impounded
shall be governed by tho provisions of
Ordinance No. VHI, and if such dog
shall bo killed as provided in said or
dinanco tho body shall bo removed at
least ono milo from tho City limits and
two hundred yards from any residence
or traveled road, nnd thcro buried, nnd
the Supervisor of Streets shall report
tho number of dogs so killed and re
moved under his supervision nt least
onco a month to the City Cleric. Tho
poundmaster shall bo paid by the City
of Globo tho sum of Fifty cents for
each and every dog so killed and re
moved by him nnd shall also bo al
lowed all other fees and charges given
him by this ordinanco to bo collected
by him from the owner or owners of
the animals taken up and impounded
who may claim tho samo or to bo re
tained by Iiim from the proceeds of tho
salo of such animals at public auction.
SECTION VIII.
If tho ownor or owners of any dog
taken up or impounded under this Or
dinanco shall within three days or
twenty-four hours as the case may bo
according to the provisions of Ordin
anco Number VIII, or the owner of
any animal other thait a dog shall
within five days after such have been
taken up and impounded, apply to the
poundmaster and pay him, tho fees and
charges provided by this or any other
ordinanco; then tho poundmaster shall
deliver fjuch animal to tho ownor or
ownors thereof.
SECTION IX.
All animals othor than dogs tnken up
and impounded timlor tho provisions of
this ordinance which shall not have
been claimed and tho fees and charges
thereon as hereinafter provided been
paid to the poundmastor by tho ownor
or owners within five days shall, as soon
thereafter as may bo convenient, bo sold
by tho poundmaster at public auction in
front of tho City Hall in said City of
Globo to the highest cash bidder be
tween tho hours of nine and eleven
o'clock A. M., and he shall retain from
tho proceeds of tho salo of such animal
the fees and charges hereinafter allowed
to him nnd shall immediately pay to
the City Clerk nny balance remaining
after deducting such fees and charges,

appear and claim the samo within thirty
days after said sale, and if not. then

SECTION X.
Tho poundmaster shnll bo allowed his
fees and shall bo entitled to collect from
tho owners of animals taken up and
impounded and claimed by the owner or
ownors thereof beforo delivering such
animal, tho sum of one dollar for every
animnl not a dog so taken up, and in
addition thoroto for the taking cure of,
watering and feeding any impounded
animal, fifty cents per day for each dog
and ono dollar per day for each other
animal; ho shall be allowed and be en
titled to rgtain from tho proceeds of
tho sale of any impounded animal sold
by him at public auction tho same fee
and charge as if such animal had been
claimed and the fees and charges had
been paid by tho owner thereof, and in
addition thereto ton per cent "of the
gross amount of the proceeds of such
sale.
SECTION XL
It shall bo unlawful for any person
to in any mannor interfcro with, im
pede, prevent or attempt to interfere
with, impede or obstruct or intimidate
tho poundmaster of tho City of Globo
or any of his deputies in the discharge
of their duties as hereinbefore set forth
in taking up or attempting to tako up
and impound any and all animals which
it shall be his duty to impound under
tho provisions of this or auy othe or
dinanco or who shall rescue or attmopt
to rescue any animnl so tnken up by
tho poundmaster or his deputies or to
release auy animal so impounded.
SECTION XII.
Any person violating any of the pro
visions of this ordinance shall be deem
ed guilty of a misdemeanor und upon
conviction thoreof shall bo punished by
a fine not exceeding fifty dollars or bo
imprisoned in tho jail or calabooso of
tho Cily not less than five nor more
than thirty days or by both such fine
nnd imprisonment.

An Ordinanco- Annoxing Certain Terri
tory to the City of Globe.
WHEREAS, It appears to tho Com
mon Council of tho City of Globo from
an examination of tho Petition of the
Old Dominion Copper Mining and Smel
ting Company and other owners of
property within tho territory horein
after particularly described that the
owners of more than one-half iu value
of tho hereinafter described property,
as the same appears upon the last as
sessment roll of Gila County, Arizona,
have petitioned tho Common Council of
the City of Globe to annex all that cer
tain land and territory situate north of
and adjoining the City of Globe and
hereinafter particularly described; and
WHEREAS, It is deemed to be to tho
best interests of the City of Globe that
the boundaries thereof bo extended to
include the hereinafter described terri
tory sought to bo annexed; NOW,
THEREFORE,
Bo it ordained by tho Mayor and
Common Council of tho City of Globo:
SECTION I.
That all that land and territory here
inafter described and not embraced
within the limits of tho City of Globe,
bo and samo is hereby annexed to tho
Citv of Globe, and tho corporate limits
of the City of Globo are hereby extend
ed to include tho said hereinafter de
scribed territory, to wit:

of tho north boundary line of the said
City of Globe with the west boundary

fect upon tho dato of tho filing of said

AMENDMENTS TO THE ARTICLES
OF INCORPORATION
OF THE
OLOBE-WHEATFIELDS MINING
COMPANY
Be it known that, at a meeting of
tho stockholders of this corporation,
hold at its office in Globe, Arizona, on
tho 2nd day of January, 1907, at which
tho holders and representatives of a
majority of all tho outstanding stock
of said corporation wore present, the
following amendments to the constitu
tion of said corporation were duly and
regularly adopted:
I.
That Article 3 bo amended to read
as follows, to wit: Tho authorized cap
ital stock of this corporation is and
shall bo One Million Five Hundred
Thousand Dollars, which said capital
stock shall bo divided into One Million
Fivo Hundred Thousand shares of the
par value of Ono Dollar each, and when

RESOLUTION NO. 1
Whereas, It satisfactorily appears to
tho Common Council of tho Town of
Globo that said town has acquired a
population of three thousand, and that
thoro aro now over three thousand in
habitants within the boundaries of tho
said town; and
Whereas, The inhabitants thereof de
sire to assume a city organization and
it is deemed to tho best interests of the
town that the inhabitants thereof as
sumo a city organization;
Now, Therefore, Bo It Resolved, That
wo, tho Common Council of the said
Town of Globe, in consideration of tho
premises autf pursuant to tho provisions
of Paragraph 597, Chapter 9 of Title 11
of tho Revised Statutes of the Territory
of Arizona, do unanimously vote in
favor of, and do hereby assume and
adopt a city organization under tho
namo of tho City of Globe.
