for Albuquerque, N. M., where ho will
spend several months with his family.
James Smith, a Clifton business man,
who is doing jury service at Solomon
ville, camo up last evening to spond
Judge F. S. Nave, who is presiding
over the Graham county district court,
camo up from Solomonvillo last evening
to spend Sunday with his family.
Mrs. Kennedy, who was injured in a
runaway sovcrnl days ago and narrowly
escaped death, is rapidly recovering, al
though sho is still suffering severely
from the shock.
W. 31. Harris, who has bcon nt Den
ver, Colo., and Los Angeles, Cal., for
the past two months, arrived in tho city
Friday evening and will leave for Den
W. G. Duncan camo up from San Car
los last evening. Ho is organizing a
company to develop a property located
on tho San Carlos strip, which has a
fine showing of ore near tho surface.
F. AV. Hoar arrived from Tombstone
on Friday to remain for n fow days
with his family, who aro visiting Mrs.
Hoar's mother, Mrs. N. E. Trcvillian.
Mr. Hoar was formcly superintendent
of tho Old Dominion Copper Mining &
Walter S. Van Fleot of Washington,
D. C, vico president and general man
ager of the Arizona, Consolidated Min
ing company, arrived last evening and is
stopping at tho Dominion. Tho prop
erty of the Arizona Consolidated is
situated on tho San Carlos strip and
preparations aro being made to begin
active development work.
Charles Banker is having a substan
tial stono wall built around his popular
resort on North Broad street and a neat
iron fence will be erected on the wall
when finished. Additional tables and
chairs will bo provided for tho garden,
which during the summer months is
the most popular place where liquid re
freshments are served in Globe.
Excavating has begun for tho new
