Odd Fellows Building v Expect No Decline in Copper In spito of the many rumors regard ing the possibility of a decline in the price of copper and of the roport from tho London market of u sharp dcciino in 0. M. B. in that markot, the inoro im portant copper interests in this city say thoro is absolutely no indication of nny decline in the price of Lake or Electro lytic grndes in this country. It is true that thoro is practically no business be ing transacted at present, but that is for tho reason that consumers are well supplied up to the, first of July and have not yet commonccd to look after their requirements for tho third and fourth quarters of tho yonr. That inquiries will soon bo made for consumers' re quirements for those coming quartors is tho expectation of all producors. It is possible that consumors aro holding off in tho hopes that some chango in condi tions may occur and that thoro may bo somo decline from the presont high prico basis. Producorg, however, dcclaro that consumption has largely increased; somo say the increaso has boon nearly 30 por cent over Inst year's consumption, whoroas tho output of copper has in creased less than 5 por cent throughout tho country. So far as can be ascer tained, thoro is no immcdinto indication of any lot-up in domand and when tho buying movomont does begiu it is likely to bo very nctivo and oxcited.
