which this corporation shall engage is
as follows, to wit: To purchase, or
othorwiso acquire, water and water
rights; to acquire, construct, maintain
p.ud operate a system of water works
in tho city of Globe, Aiizona, and in tho
vicinity theroof; to use, sell, loaso and
deliver wator for power, irrigation and
domestic purposes to cities, counties,
towns, villages, private corporations
ond individuals; to purchase, or other
wise acquire, lands and premises for
tho development, storage and convoying
of water; and to construct aud main
tain dams, reservoirs, canals, water
ways, flumes, pipe-lines and other nec
essary means and ways in carryiug and
convoying water to consumers and
tigers thereof: Also, to construct, own,
maintain and opcrato n plant for tho
manufacture, distribution and salo of
gas, for illumination, for fuel and for
any othor purposo; to acquire, hold,
mnnngo and operate buildings, tanks,
machinery, pipo and pipe-lines, and any
end all other appliances, for manufac
turing, producing and distributing gas,
and any and all other illuminant pro
ducts, for light, heat, power, and any
and all other beneficial uses and pur
poses to which they may be applied;
end to manufacture, produce, generate
or otherwise obtain electric light, heat
and power: Also, to condemn, purchase
or othcrwiso acquire rights of way, case
ments and franchises for purposes of
marketing, selling, storing, furnishing,
conducting, and transporting light,
power, water and gas as aforesaid, to
the inhabitants of tho city of Globe,
Arizona, and clsowhoro in Gila County,
Arizona; and to rent, sell, furnish and
deal in electric light, heat, water, gas
and power, and to rent, sell and'supply
such portion thorcof, as may not be
used by this corporation, to cities,
counties, towns, villages, privato cor
porations and individuals: Also, to
erect, construct, andjoperujo such build
ings, structures, machinery, apparatuses,
and devices, as may bo deemed neces
sary or convenient for the purposes of
this corporation: Also, to transmit clcc
trie light, power and heat, by means of
poles and wires, conduits, and sub
.ways, or othorwise, ovor, through and
under, any lands, streets, or alleys, or
both, in tho said city of Globe, Ari
zona, and elsewhere: Also, to acquire
by deed, gift, grant, or otherwise, lauds,
tcnomonts, hereditaments, leasehold es
tates, bonds, notes, evidences of in
debtedness, stock of this and other in
corporated companies, franchises, privi
leges, and licenses, property and every
estate, right, interest, and appurtcn
pnecs, in, to or concerning real and per
sonal property of every nnmo and na
ture, legal and equitable, and to havo
and to- hold, uso and dnjoy, manage,
control, grant, assign, transfer and con
vey, encumber by mortgage or deed of
trust, and otherwise dispose of the
same or any part thereof, or interest
therein: Also, to engage in tho busi
ness of supplying light, heat and power
by electrical appliances, water, gas, or
otherwise; and to do and perform all
other acts or things necessary or inci
dental to tho purposes hereinabove sot
forth; and, Also, to engage in any and
all kinds of business in which natural
persons may lawfully engage.
ARTICLE V.
Tho amount of capital stock of this
corporation shall bo Five Hundred
Thousand ($500,000.00) Dollars, divided
into Fivo Thousand Shares of tho par
value of One Hundred ($100.00) Dol
lars each, and when issued shall be fully
paid in cash, or property of an equiva
lent cash value, and shall thereafter bo
non-assessable.
ARTICLE VI.
Tho corporato existence of this cor
poration shall commonco on tho day of
tho filing of theso Articles of Incorpora
tion in tho office of tho County Recor
der of Gila County, Arizona, and a cer
tified copy thereof with tho Auditor
of this Territory, and shall continue for
a poriod of Twcnty-fivo years thereaf
ter, but its Charter rights may be re
nowed, boforo this charter expires, from
time to time, for periods not exceeding
twonty-fivo years at a time.
ARTICLE VII.
Tho business of this corporation shall
bo conducted by a Board of Directors,
consisting of not less than Seven, nor
nioro than Twenty-one, who shall bo
stockholders in this corporation, to be
elected annually at tho annual nicotines
of tho stockholders, and tho number de
cided upon and elected at any annual
election shall constitute tho number of
directors for that year. A mooting of
tne stockholders for tho olection of a
Board of Directors of this corporation
shall bo held immediately after tho
signing of theso Articles, nnd at said
mooting said Directors so olectcd shall
olect tho ofilcors of this corporation tn
sorvo until tho second Tuesday in May,

empt from all liability for corporato
debts of 'any kind.

Laws of tho Territory of Arizona and
do hereby adopt the following articles
of Incorporation.
ARTICLE I.
Tho names of tho incorporators of
this company are: William II. Butler,
Frederick W. Moore, Robert E. Merritt,
E. T. Stewart and J. W. Wentworth.
ARTICLE II.
The namo of this corporation is, nnd
shall be, GLOBE ABSTRACT & TITLE
COMPANY.
ARTICLE in.
Its principal placo of business shall
bo within Gila County, Territory of
Arizona, with offices established at
Globe.
ARTICLE IV.
Tho object for which this corporation
is formed is as follows: To furnish
full and complete abstracts of titlo to
each kind nnd character of property
within the County of Gila, such as titles
to Mines and Mining claims, Lands of
every kind and nature, Townships, Ad
ditions, Subdivisions, City Lots and
Fractions thereof, as also: Tho title to
Personal property; To acquire by pur
chuso or otherwise, abstracts, abstract
books, indices or systems, copies, notes,
briefs and indices of iho public records
within tho County of Gila; To make,
prepare and'completo abstracts or copies
of all instruments, notices, judgments
and decrees affecting titlo to real or
personal property wjthin said Gila
County and to prepare a complete set
of abstract books, indices and systems;
To make out and issuo abstracts of
titlo to those requiring tho same and to
collect compensation for such,' and all
such abstracts will carry a certificate
signed by the manager of this corpora
tion and under the seal thereof.

Tho amount of capital stock of this
corporation shall be Ten Thousand
('$10,000.00) dollars, divided into Two
Thousand (2000) shares of the par valuo
of Five ($5.00) dollars each, to bo fully
paid when issued and shall be non-assessable.
