I IT LATE AL SiEBEfl Suitable Memorial of Native Granite Will Mark Grave of Pioneer Scout During tho last session of the terri torial legislature, the member of tho council from this district, Geo. W. P. Hunt, caused to bo inserted in tho ap propriation bill a cluuso appropriating $100 from tho territorial funds for tho erection of a monument to tho lato Al Siobcr, tho pionoor scout and Indian fighter, who was accidentally killod at Itoosovclt whtlo the legislature was in session. Hceontly the territorial board of control informed Mr. Hunt of tho granting of tho funds and lie was given chnrgo of tho memorial to be erected ovor tho old pioneer's grave in Globe. Mr. Hunt decided that the most fitting monument would be one of native granite, which nlso would not bo as costly as an imported monument. Work has begun on it and it will bo completed in a few weeks. Tho monument will bo of two largo boulders of nativo granite. Ono of tlicso will serve as n baso and the other, which will bo about five feet high, will bo orected on it. Only tho front of it will bo polished and a suitable inscrip tion engraved upon it. First National Bank of Globe. While switching in tho local yards shortly after midnight yesterday morn ing a car of grain got away fTOtn the crow and crashed into Engine No. 10, which was standing on a sidetrack. The ongine was badly damaged, the water and oil connections being knocked off and the car smashed. A car of coal was also damaged. A switchman named LeBlanc, who was riding on the runaway car, was thrown off by tho shock and was bruised about the back and legs, although his injuries aro not serious.
