Young Man of Breslau Goes Mad Whilo
Locked in a Safo
BERLIN, October 3. A wager en
tered upon by somo young men cm
ployed in a business house at Breslau
has had a tragic sequel.
They made bets as to who- could re
main the longest in the safe. They
entered tho safo, one aftor tho other,
only to emergo when they were "threat
ened with suffocation.
'At last tho turn of tho young man
who had doviscd tho wager came. Ho
entered the safo and tho door closed
after him. When ho struck tho walls
of tho safo as a signal that ho desired
to bo released his companions could
not find tho key. After n few minutes
it dawned upon them that tho prisoner
himself had tho key.
Tho head of tho firm arrived. The
situation was explained to him. For
tunately ho had a second key in his
pockot. Tho young man was released
from tho safo half dead. When he
was brought to it was found that he
had gono quito mad.
