charged. Legally Separated. In district court
yesterday Oeorgo Miller was granted a
divorce from his wife, Elizabeth Miller,
on tho grounds of desertion. Miller
formerly liTed in Chaparral. Ho so
cured a iosition in Globo and when ho
announced his intentions of moving to
this city, Mrs. Miller balked and would
not accompany him. That was a year
and a half ago, and sinco then sho has
refused to live with her husband. Wein
berger & Elliott appeared for tho plain
tiff. North Globe Officer. Qscar Fclton is
tho latest addition to tho city police
department and has been assigned for
service exclusively in North Globe. He
will commence work this morning. For
tho past two years Mr. Fclton has been
employed as a special agent by tho
Southern Pacific Railway company, and
prior to that was a rangor for a num
bor of years, working under Governors
Murphy, Hrodio nnil Kibboy. Ho is a
good officer and will prove a valunblc
acquisition to the polico service of tho
Examining Trial Monday. Thomas
Hastings, who was arrested at St. Johns
on a warrant sworn out in this city
charging him with obtaining goods un

Henry Pitts of Bollovuo will leave

Mr. McCain is a printer by -profession
and has secured a position in the city.

being done at tho Iris in Globe and
promises excellent vaudeville bills dur
ingo tho winter.
Bishop Moody of Thatcher arrived in
tho city Thursday night and will trans
act business hero for a number of days,
probably remaining over for tho ser
vices to bo conducted by President
Kimball of St. Joseph stako on Sunday,
