spector Willinm Speed of Willcox.
As a result of tho good work done by
theso two officers JDavid Roberts and
Con Sullivan nro under nrrest charged
with tho theft of tho herd of goats.
Tho alleged theft was ono of tho
boldest ever known. That a person
could possibly get away with a big
herd of goats was hardly bolioved, yet
Roberts succeeded in reaching the j
Glory Mountain country beforo ho was i
found by tho officers trailing him.
When ho was arrested ho claimed
that he had purchased tho goats from
Sullivan, who had been employed on a
ranch near Willcox. Tho fact that the
goats wcro missing was not discovered
for n wcok, but tho oinuers wcro able
to follow tho trail tc tho Glory Moun
tain country in Graham county where
thej' nrrestcd Roberts. Sullivnn was
later arrested in Willcox.
