Be It Resolved. That this Board
availing itself of the authority vested
in it by Act No. 141 of the Acts of
the Legislature of the State of Louisi
ana for the year 1916. entitled "An
Actto apthorize the Board of Com
missioners for he Fifth Louisiana
Levee District to issue and negotiate
bends not to exceed One Million Dol
lars additional to the issue authorized
by Section 12. of Act 44 of 1886, and
Act 184 of the General Assembly of
Louisiana, Session of 1912, do issue
its bonds to the amount fo $8250.000
of the denomination of ($1,000.00)
One Thousand Dollars each; said
bonds to be payable to bearer, to be
signed by the President of this Board
officially. and attested by the signa
ture of the Secretary of the BMoard;
to become due in fifty years, and tQ
be payable at the option of the Board
th forty years from the date of their
issue; to bear interest at the rate of
five per cent per annum from the
date of their issue; said interest to
be evidenced by coupons attached to
said bonds; "payable semi-annually,
