Gustave Duplantier, was ap pointed road overseer for the 3rd road district vice Sevenue Pr meanx excused. Art 3 °.. resolved, that a suffi cient amount of the surplins fund now in the parish treasury arising from the parish taxes collected nrevious to the year 1882, shall be prorated by the Finance Com mittee among the judgometit credi tors of the parish of Vermilion, which shall be paid to them on the warrantri signed by the Presi dent and Clerk of the police jury in full satisfaction of the balance of their judgments a- aforesaid. Fernest Duhon, road overseer for the 11th road district was au thorized to purchase for account of the parish 2999 feet of lumber to build bridges &c, in his said district, payable out of the road and bridge fund of 1883. Wm Cade, road overseer of the 13th district was likewise and in the same manner authorized: to pur chase lumiber-I 'ssame purpose ac= cording to bill asked by him.
