iELLEIVIL LE N4)TESN.
The schooi was ciosed last Mon
(day because o: the reception given to
the returning soldiers by the city
of New Orleans The children were
given an opportunity to view the pa
rade on that day. Some of the
childrea had brothers that came in
last Monday.
Congressman iEstopinol's death
was a subject of much regret to the
Belleville School children for the
fact that he was very dearly loved
by these children. Each year he
would gladly send the children seeds
to start their home gardens which
have proven such a great success.
The manner in which he distri
buted these seeds made him kindly
remembered by t"-' children.
