he Announcement of the establish- t
'ill ment of an industrial alcohol plant
for in Algiers in the old Security Brew
ery building was made Thursday by
Samuel M. Meyer, president of the
Crescent Industrial Alcohol Com
pany. It probably will be the larg- I
est plant of its kind in the South,
Mr. Meyer said.
Transfer of the property of the
Security Brewery Company including
its plant and several plants along the
river front, to the alcohol company
for $96,953 was made a few days
ago. The holdings were acquired at
different times by Mr. Meyer through
private transactions.
Other officers are: Jules G. Fisher,
vice president; Charles A. Schexnay
der, secretary-treasurer, and Edward
Marx and St. Paul Bourgeois, of the
directiag board.
