TURNED BLIND
ALMOST FELL
Mrs. Hansen Says At First Her Case
Seemed Hopeless, but She
Finally Won Out.
Mobile, Ala.-"For seven years," tt
says Mrs. Sigurd Hansen, of this tr
city, "I suffered with womanly troub- '
les, and, at last, was operated on.
I felt better for a time, but soon I
had the same trouble as before.
I had dizzy spells, and would turn Ic
blind and almost fall over. I had a
pains in my back and side, and was
not able to work. a:
Half the time I could not eat any ýi
breakfast, and I always felt weak and g
had a headache.
One day, my husband got me a bot- rt
tle of Cardul, and I tried it. I felt
better, so I took some more.
Now, I am well and feel fine. My te
doctor gays I am looking better than
ever. I have a good appetite and sleep e
well. ti
It is all due to Cardul. I only wish r;
every suffering woman would try it.
They would soon feel as good as I t
do." p
You may be sure, when Cardul will o
relieve and cure such a serious case a
as that of Mrs. Hansen, that it will, a
much more quickly and certainly, help
those women who have no serious t
symptoms, but are just weak and ail- f
ing. s
Are you?
Try it.

ONE-TALENT PEOPLE.
Lincoln said: "The Lord must have
loved the one-talent people, for he
made so many of them."
We are too prone th look at talents
as accomplishments, like painting,
tsinging or being a good museck mian, for
get h ere bennng gangrene talents of far
more lasting quality which are hardly
recognized as such.
A dear little Quaker woman once
made the remark that she would rath
er have merited this epitaph on her
tomb stone than any she ever knew:
"She was easy to live with." Being
easy to live with is a talent worth cul
tivating and one which is all too
rare.
If our children today might be
taught that to be agreeable and com

of others are qualities far more valu
able in life than being able to speak
seven languages.
We need to to liveach our daughters
that the humble, though exalted, pro
fession of home-making is more de
sitrable than the superficial accom
plishments which take their time,
strength and interest.
The object of the profession of
home'naking is a comprehensive one.
to raise the ideals of home-making is
one, to make housekeeping an inspir
ing profession instead of deadening
drudgery, to make the daily task in
the home entertaining as bridge whist.
To make the housekeeper's allow
ance go as far as possible that the
best things of life may not be left
out.
To promote the household welfare
and insure domestic tranquility.
To develop in each child all the per
fection of which he is susceptible.

The profession of home-making is
becoming more and more difficult
each year, and the young women who
expect to enter the profession un
trained will be the ones who in the
future will figure in th-a divorce
