Notice to Officers.in Primary Election.
Act No. 198 of 1912 provides that in
case a second primary election is held
it "shall be held five weeks from the
date of the first primary." No nomi
nation having been made for Railroad
Commissioner for the Third District, a
second race is to be run between B. A.
Bridges and L. M. Wade, the two per
sons receiving the highest number of
votes at the first primary. The elec
tion will fall on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 1912.
The law makes it the duty of the
same officers to serve in the second
primary as in the first, and any officer
'appointed in the primary and served
as a commissioner, clerk or special dep
uty in the first primary, andwho fails
to serve in the second primary in the
same capacity," shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and subject to a severe
penalty.
