Minutes of the previous meeting
were read and approved.
After due deliberation and discus
sion of the financial condition of the
parish, Mr. Graham offered the follow
ing, which was uanimously adopted
to-wit:
Whereas the very great expenses
incurred in making the high water

Treasury leaving a large, balance still
unpaid,
Therefore be it Resolved, That the

authorized to borrow the sunm of $2000
at eight per cent per anuitlum interest
and to issue certificates of indebted
