I desire to notify all voters in the par ish, that no one can vote, at either a primary election or at the general elec tion in 1900, unless he registers anew, including those under Section 5. E. T. Be it ordained, That canals for irri gation, navigation or transportation purposes be granted a "right of way" to cross the public roads, provided, that the crossings and approaches thereto be built, constructed and maintained at the expense of the said canal, irrigation or transportation companies. Said crossings and approaches thereto to be under the supervision of such road overseers as may be from time to time appointed by the Police Jury. Mr. Manuel Presented the following ordinance, and upon being duly read, was adopted unanimously, to-wit: AN ORDINANCE RELATIVE TO ELECTION PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES. Section 1. Be it ordained yv the Po lice Jury of the parish of St. Landry in special session convened. That the numbers and limits or boundaries of the election precincts of the parish remain as fixed by resolution of the iPoliceJury adopted on the 27th day of August, 1895, except as hereinafter provided. - Section 2. Be it further ordained,etc., The 28th or Lower Mamon election pre cinct as established by said resolution be subdivided as follows: All that portion of said election pre cinct lying .west of the Bayou-des Cannes shall continue to be known as the 28th or Lower Mamon election pre cinct, and all that portion of said elec tion precinct lying east of the Bayou des-Cannes, and so much of the 27th or Faquetaique election precinct, as lies within the corporate limitse of the townll of Eunice, shall be the 31st or Eunice election precinct. Section 3.
