Williams, Mayor of the town of Melville, La., I issue this, his order, calling a special meeting of the Board of Alder men of the town of Melville, La., for the purpose of receiving re ports, paying bills and general business. Therefore take notice that a special meeting of the Board of Aldermen will be held for the above purpose on Tues day, Feb. 13, 1912 at 7:30 p. m. We the undersigned members of the Board of Aldermen of the town of Melville, La., do hereby accept service for the call of a special meeting of the Board of Aldermen for the purpose of receiving reports, paying bills and general business. Ordinance No. 21 was then read as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 21. An ordinance authorizing t h e Mayor to advertise for bids, to appoint t h e necessary committees to adopt the necessary plans and specifi cations, to borrow Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1500.00), providing for the payment of the sr're and to contract for the building of a Town Hall. Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Mel ville, La., that the Mayor be au thorized to cause the necessary bids to be advertised for the building of a Town Hall in the Town of Melville, La., the title to which shall be vested in the public, all bids to be based upon plans and specifications to be submitted by the Mayor. Be it further ordained, etc., That the Mayor be authorized to appoint the necessaro commit tees to assist in adopting t h e plans and specifications for said building and to further assist in the supervising of the construc tion of the same. Be it fnrther ordained, etc., That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to negotiate a loan of Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1500.00) and that the same be secored by the pledging of the License revenues collected for the years 1913, 1914 and 1915, but the said indebtedness is to be liquidated as soon as dufficient funds from such License reve nues are collected. Be it further ordained, etc., That she Mayor be and is hereby authorized to sign all papers necessary to carry out and exe cute the provisions set forth above and to sign all contracts ~ necessary for the building of the . aforementioned Town Hall. . Be it further ordained, etc., That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby re pealed; and that this ordinance take effect -r m and after its passage.
