This is as it should be. Now
let us get together and work for a
greater Winnfield. A majority of
the voters have indicated.: their
choice of a mayor to administer
their laws, a marshal to conserve
the peace and five councilmen to
make their laws. If we hold up
their hands and yield our support
to the measures passed for the
general good the affairs of the
town will result in the general
good.
The ticket selected is a strong
one and we do not see where it
could be improved on arid deserves
and should receive unanimous
support.

TO IMPROVE STOCK. .
The Central Produce Association f
has bought several -:young Poll t
Angus Bulls and have started to I
improve their .herds. This breed 3
makes the finest beef cattle on the I
market, and as the bulls were bred I
in Grant parish they are acclim- l
ated. This shows what the farm.
ers in this section are going to do
to counteract the ravages of the
boll weevil.
The Sanders good roads move
ment.has taken on new life. A
few small bore politicians in this
State have opposed this move'ment
because Governor.ai'iders might
benefit pol~ie~illy by it. He has
madetstudy of roads and is one
of the best posted men in...the
United States on the subject. His
plan to furnish to the parties free
engineering and convict labor at
the expense of the State is one of
;the best plans for securing good
roads at a minimum expense ever
devised. It is a shame.that a few
pin-heads oppose the Sanders plan
r purely' political reasons
