Mrs. Bell Davis and Misses Hattie Fenton and Grace Mills drove over from Fenton Thursday and spent the day with Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Irwin. Saturday night F. C. Baker, H. C. Ledyard, Dr. Calvert, Al ilills Jim Henderson and A. J. Findley were in Welsh, attending a Masonic "Feast." They said they dined on 'possum and had a royal good time. Al. Mills and family of Fenton, were guests of Mr, and Mrs. F. C. Baker, Sunday. Monday eveqing at the Congrega tional parsonage a quiet wedding took place, Rev. Scbmink officiating. The contracting parties were Mr. E. Dur gan of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Mrs. Carrie Reese, of this place. Mr. Eli Lyon was best man and Mrs. Mitchell-was maid of honor. In the pretty parlor, brightened by holly and palms, the solemn words were spoken, which united in wedlock the groom of seventy-three and the bride of seventy -two years. They (have the best wishes of many friends. Thanksgiving services will be held in Iowa at the Congregational church, by Rev. J. B. Gonzales of Jennings. At the Odd Fellows' hall there will be union services by Rev. Ledyard and Rev. Wells. Special music has been prepared for both services. How to get Strong. P. J. Daly, of 1247 W. Armstrong, who lives about three mikls south of Crow ley, was totally destroyed by fire Friday night about 8 o'clock. The loss was about 8400, with about $300 insurance.
