Journal Book Store. o- .-- -- - One Big Rice Yield. Among the many short crops that are reported this year comes one that looks like old times. Messrs Mc- l VI Millian and Wilson, two Blue Grass 'ill farmers threshed 149 acres of Hondu y- ras rice a few days ago, which yield n ed them 2071 sacks. This is one of the best yields that we have heard of this season and is an exce,'iou to the general run of the crop this year. These gentlemen sold their crop short ly after it was threshed for i2.75 per C barrel. n Diedrlch"*Lonviere. I Mr. Wm. Al The question is often asked: "Do Sh the people read newspaper advertise ments?" We answer "yes." As an example: Mr. J. S. DeWolf, who owned a little place in the east Dart of town, desired to sell the same. Upon the advice of his friend C. E. Smith of Port Arthur, he inserted a little advertisement regarding the same in the Journal, even on the back page, and as a result of that little notice, the property was sold within four days from the day the paper was published. '"Do people read Journal adsP" We answer "yes." If nyou have sQomrPthing to sell, advertis, it. We LOCAL NEWS CONTINUED. 1 ine rnkel was a business visitor to Lake Charles Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. F.
