Pearl McBride. the 9-years-old daughter of Mrs. Hilburn, had the smaller bone of her left arm broken, above the wrist, Monday evening. While skipping a rope turned by her step-father, W. W. Hilburn, she tripped and fell fracturing the bone. Fortunate ly the fracture is not a serious one and will soon be well. The accident is regretted by the little girl's many friends. Au Affray. Providing for continuing Jones Street South of the Lounisiana A Arkansas railroad, and I for the discontinuance of the public road south of the said railroad, in the town of Winnleld, La. y Section I. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen in regular session con vened; That whereas, J. J. Mixon, Mrs. 8. A. Wright and L. M. Tanaueiil have dedicated to II the Town of WinnIeld, as a public street, the route hereto annexed and designated as I "proposed new street" and made a part hereof, be it ordained, therefore, that we accept the said dedication as ndicated by plat Sannexed as part hereof. Mr. 8. L. Morris then ap peared before the board and pre sented a claim for one hundred dollars for printing the Guardiaa. Mr. Cooper intruoduced the fol lowing resolution: Resolved, That the claim of 8. L. Morris, for one hundred dol lars, be allowed, abd that the clerk be authorized to draw bis warrant on the general fund when there is money to the credit of that fund not otherwise ap propriated.
