Our people have been udlder the im pression that only Pointe Coupee or Morganza could throw an im mense volume of water on our low lands, and as long as they heard favorable reports of these levees they felt secured. The news now comes that the Biggs crevasse in Madison, and the one which oc cared in the lower portion of Con cordia Monday last, will throw their waters in the Black, Red and Atchafalaya rivers, which in turn 1 will flood our low lands to a consi 9 derable extent. This is certainly 1 bad news for our people who live on low lands; they can prepare for 3 high water. - NOTICE.
