St. Martinville has been getting
freight and mail very regularly
for quarantine time, and thus far
we have experience not the least
inconvinience, in our ordinary run
of affairs. Business is a little
dull, we must admit, but this is
due to the depressing effect of the
fever, of which every community
in the state is exposed, and for
this reason, people do not feel to
venture in any thing that is sub
ject to be interrupted at any time
if the fever was to come. The
planters, however, are gathering
their crops, the ginners are get
ting ready and the refineries are
pushing as rapidly as possible the
improvements they have com
menced, and all will be ready in
time for the grinding of the large
and fine cane crop of this parish.
NOTHING ON THE MARKET EQUAL TO
CHAMBERLAIN'S COLIC. CHOLERA
AND DIARRHOEA REMEDY.
This fact is well known to druggists
* everywhere, and nine out of ten will
give their customers this preparation
when the beet is asked for. Mr. Obe
Witner. a prominent druggist of Joplin.
Mo.. in a circular to his customers, says:
"There is nothing on the market in the
* way of patent medicine which equals
Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarr
hoea Remedy for bowels complaints. We
sell and reconmmend this preparation."
For sale by T. J. Labbe.

to handle all the cotton that will
be brought to the tsinnery.
