FIRE OUT
Then comes the matter of IN
SURANCE. You get out
your policy and note the Com
pany in which you are insur
ed. Certain questions should
not arise to worry you at such
a time.
You should not be worried by
the question of whether you
are insured in a company that
dickers and delays over set
tlement.
You should not be worried
over the question of whether
the company can pay the claim.
You should not be worried by
the question of whether you
have had enough protection
to cover your loss.
To be insured in COMPANIES such as are represented in
my agency eliminates the first two of these worries. By con
sulting me before taking out )your policy. I will tell you the
proper proportion of insurance to carry, and that eliminates
the third.
The evident thing to do before the fire, in order to eliminate
worry, is to be insured in the riRht kind of COMPANY.

His Happy Home.
She sews the buttons on his shirt.
And darns his socks with care
She never falls to be alert
Hiei every woe to share.
She lays his night clothes on the bed
And turns the covers down,
She never fills his heart with dread
By a suspicious frown.
She gives him what he likes to sat.
And never makes complaint;
And there is never when they meet
A hint of cold restraint.
Her faith in him is deep and great,
She courts his least caress.
When he gets home to dinner late
There is no bitternams.
She never scolds becanes the folk
Next door have more than they.
On him she pauses' to Invoke
God's blessing day by day,
She strives in every way to ease
The burdens of his life;
You may have guessed ere this that she's
His mother, not his wife.

The High School Entertain
ment.
Friday of last week the pupils
of the High School gave a very in
teresting and entertaining little
exhbibition at the High School Au.
ditorium.
The attendance was not half as
large as it should have been, and
this, we believe, was caused by
lack of the proper advertising.
The program wasinteresting and
nioely carried out.
The first play, -'A Public Bane.
feer" was rendered by Robert
Maraist, Thomas Martin, George
Bienvenu, Zerben Bienvenu, Jas.
Simon, Jr, and Leonard Reeweber.
A violin duet by Dumas and Ed
mond Delahouuaye was a real
treat.
The debate "Resolved that the
Petticoat has done more for Civi
lization than the Sword" was well
contested by Misses Effie de La
loire and Ruby French for the af
tirmative and Mie Effie Soulier
and Louis Gridry Jr for the nega
tive, both sides made good and
strong delivery, but the judges de
cided in favor of the negative.
A piano duet was nicely ren
dered by Misses Camola Bienvenu
and Verna Knight.
Miss Tom Boy was the most
laughable piece on the program
and it was elegantly rendered by
Misses Jeanne Robicheaux, Viola
Broussard and Pauline Voorbies.
Pauline was the star of the even
ing.

-The Street Fair of Nigro and
Loos which left here last Monday
after having been held here for
fifteen days on account of the bad
weather, was not much of an at
traction. They had nothing worth
esiug, a negro minstrel, a ro.
lette, crazy hoose and big head
child, were no attractions at all,
tbhe whirl of death was tbhe only
thing worth seeing. The most
part of the fair was composedl of
about a dozens of gambling wheels
of some kind.
