SCHWARTZ. *3; * * Canning Onutlit Installed Prof. Frank T. Guilbean, of the Breaux Bridge High School, through the cordial support given him by Supt. F. O. Chavez, has put up, for the Demonstration Farm a small canning outfit. It consists of one small boiler, a scalding basin, two cookers and capping and tipping irons It has scapacity of four to eight hun. dred cane per day. The whole outfit can be put down and loaded in a small wagon, ready to move within one hour. This outfit should be put up by small club of farmers, say five or six, and vegetables to last the whole year round could be put up in cans at a minimum cost. This would help, materially, to reduce The High Cost Of Living. The plant could be erected at a cost well below one hundred dollars. Professor Guilbeau has invited all Club Members, as well as any farmer having any vegetables to can to bring their stuff to the plant and they will be put up at actual cost. Of course the parties bringing the stuff will have to help prepare it for canning. A liberal policy, toward the Farm, has been adopted by the School Board, and Superinten dant, which will very materially assist it in giving the practical agricultural education so much needed in our Parish. The~public is cordially invited to be present at all canning de monstrations. L. BIENVENU AGkNT FOR TIMES "PICAYUNE NEW ORLEANS ITEM Take subsoription by the week, month sad year.
