The young lady in elocution, t
. Miss Brundage, did herself and
her teacher much credit. Her 1

OeoI were all di ficult to render. The
cutting from "As the Light Led"
was a very fine seleetion, and 1
I0uld 1was considered by some the best t
on the program. T'hehiumorous i

swere certainly rich in wit and

The Springfield Republican of
January 23, has the following to
say ofMiss Alma Edwards:
Miss Alma Edwards is a young
lady of unusual ability as a pian
ist, who has just graduated from
the department of music in the
Springfield normal school has
been requested by several mu
sicians in the city to repeat her
recital given in the auditorium of
the school building Tuesday t1
night. She belongs to an old and
distinguished French lamily of
Louisiana, celebrated for their R
musical ability. Her recitals
showed her to be an artist of
great versatility. Her tccenique
was marvelous and her interpre
tation of the great masters of
music showed a remarkably
clever conception of the great
compositor.
It is a rare treat to the public
will here to have an opportunity to By Un
