The' change in the jrailroad schedule is causitig a great in - convenience to the people of Jen nings, especially so in the late arrival of the mail. The train carrying the mail is known as the Sunset Limited, and arrives in Jennings at 5:50 p. m, and often times the.train is late. In a large number of instances that compels many people to wait for their mail until the next morn ing. Heretofore they could get their mail the same evening.j Now a move is on foot among e the citizens to try and get the arrival of the mail changed, and instead of it being carried on train No. 9, try and have it ar t rive on train No. 5, which arrives at 8:04 p. m. A great deal of complaint is heard from the pa trons of the office, owing to the latte arrival of the evening mail. 3 The RECORD understands that a petition will be circ1soted ask ing the Superintendent of the Railway Mail Service at Fort Worth, Texas, requesting him (if it is within his power to do so) to change the arrival of the mail, and have it come on train No. 5, which ar ivpe at i;:04 p. m. This will bo greatly appreciated by the patrons of the Juenningspost olli ce. * Mrs. E. N. Marsh. Mrs. Marsh was born in Ash burnham, Mass., in 1844 and married Mr. E. N. Marsh Jan. 25 1868 in Waverley, Iowa. They resided in Iowa until 1887 when they removed to Jennings, La., and located 12 miles north of Tennings on Mamou Prairie where they have lived since that time. Mrs. Marsh died in Jen nings, November 15th, 1902, of a .combination of Catarrh and Ty phoid Malaria fever. Besides her husband she leaves a daugh ter, iMrs. rank Garrould, one son, a father, one sister and two brothers to mourn her loss.
