STKi'im.v Peaiu, Anmiews ono of
tho editors of Woodhull and Claflin's
Weekly, is a radical reformer and spir
itualist, and the author of several books.
He now intends to make tho world
eternally his debtor by founding one
universal language for all the nations
of the earth. Mr. Andrews lias been
lately made a widower. Mrs. Mary A
-Mitchell is a doctress in Ocnesco,
Henry county, III. She is a strong-
minded lady of tho stamp of Mrs. Jcl
la by. She believes she has a mission
and yearns to discover what it is. She
is groping in the dark and pours out
her soul in a letter to Mr. Andrews.
She tells him bow she sympathises
with him in the loss of his wife and
how she prays " that holy angels may
lift bun up on high continually, and
' wrap him in the bosom of the higher
' intelligence, andj continually baptize
' him with tho breath of inspiration."
And then slio says of herself : "lam
waitiug, waiting, waiting to behold
' the nieho 1 may fill in tho mighty
' temple of Labor, going up for tho res
'cue of the liberties of the race So
' cially, Spiritually and Politically. I
1 always bad to do what others failed to
1 do, in any crisis during my life

' nm waiting to be summoned now, or
' to see some deserted post that needs a
' champion. I wish I could confer with
'you, a view of doing good, somc-
' where in tho world, where others have
not filled the vacuum."
AVo aro of the earth, earthy, and
have never been able to (juito reach up
to the transcendental bight of the
army of reformers, of which Mrs. Mit
chcll is such a taithful soldier, and
therefore wo may be mistaken, but,
from our standpoint, it looks as though
the Henry county widow had an C3e to
tho vacuum made by the death of Mrs,
Andrew.. At any rate, if Stephen
