for tho purpose of carrying it to market.
It ts believed he sold the meat aud re
ceived tho money for it, as the marks of
the meat were to bo seen upon his wagon,
which stood in tho yard, at some little dis
tance from the burned house, the horses
being in the stable nnd bearing the muddy
marks of travel.

Mr. Hentley was an industrious, frugal
and economical man, and it was ginernlly

veyed to Louisville, where tbey will be
buried at nine o'clock this morning, from
the renidcnce of Mr. Schmidt, corner of
Hancock and .lellerson streets. Mr.
Schmidt and his family ure almost insane

THE EXCITEMENT.
The excitement over this awfuf crime is
most Intense. It U even deeper, we arc
