TESTIMONIALS.
(From tho celebrated Musical Professor, Phillip
Phillips.)
" I do not think I ever saw a Oner toned
organ than this one, and if I could always
find as swcot n toned organ as this one,
(Simmons & Clougb) I should novor
trouble myself to carry ono with mo."
(From the Detroit Pcnlntular Herald. 1
"For both Intorior finish and exterior
appearance, and in tno completeness of all
their nppoinments, these ' Combination
Organs' are perfect beauties, whilo for
their musical qualities, both as regards
quantity and quality of tone, and for va
riety of expression, pleasantness of touch,
caso of oporation, and all tho qualifications
which contrlbuto to tho perfection of a
deslrable.instrument of this kind, wehavo
full confidence that they aro unsurpassed
by any manufacture In tho coutry.
Thuro is no manufacturing institution of
which Detroit can moro justly feel proud,
than ot this manufactory of beautiful and
usoful instruments, for tho Simmons &
Clough Organ Co.'s organs aro now recog'
nlzed tho country over, as among the very
best tbo market affords."
IKroin thulinrlingion lovvaTrlhutio.
- "Messrs. Lang & VanSlotor havo Just
received a number of now organs, nnd
among them two recommend thotnselves
particularly, by a now invention which
makes the tono moro llko that of a fluto
wheroforo thoy aro particularly adopted to
accompany tho voice In singing. Thcso
organs aro uppllcd with "Scribnor'a pat
ent" qualifying tubes. Through this in
vontlon an organ having only two sots of
roods, is a powerful as any other which
has six or eight sets of reeds." 7-18-lw.

HOW TO GO WEST.
This is an enquiry which every one
should have truthfully answered before ho
starts on ;hls journey, and a little care
taken in examination of Routes will in
many cases savo much trouble, timo and
money,
Tho "I. B. & W. Route," running from
Indianapolis through Bloomlngton to Bur
lington, has achieved a splendid reputation
in tho last two years as the leading passen
ger route to tho west. At Burlington it
connects with tho great Burlington Route
which runs direct through Southern Iowa
to Nobraska and Kansas, with close
connections to California and tho Terri
tories; and pasicngers starting from Cairo
on their way westward, cannot do better
than to tako tho I. B. & W. and Burlington
route.
This Line hat published a pamphlet
called "How to go West ," which contains
much valuable information; alargecorrect

Loveliness on the increase. A
marked increase of femalo loveliness is th
eye-dollghtlng result of the immense
popularity which Uauan'b Maokolia
Balm has obtained among tho ladies of
America. Complexions radiant with
snowy purity and tingled with the roseate
hue'of health aro commonly met with
whenever it is used. For the sallow and
unwholesome Hppearanco of the faco and
neck, which utterly counterbalances the
effect of any personal attraction tho owner
may possess, it substitutes that
clear, pesrl-charm In woman, and
renders the rough like complex
Ion which is such a transcendent
est skin as soft as Genoa velvet. No one
is more astonished than the person using
it, at tho marvelous transformation which
it effects in these particulars.
