There is no shipping demand for them.
The market at New Orleans, as compared
with prices hore, leaves no margin. Hav
is very scarce. Butter and Eggs extremely,
dull. The weather has turned cooler.
Freights are steady and unchangod.

for round lots from flrst bands, unlcis
otherwise stated, and tbat in filling small

HAY. Market bare; Choice Tlmcthy
would sell rendily at $20 00 and Mixed at
$18 00 del. Not enough comes in to sup
ply the order demand. We note sales of
3 cart choice Timothy at $20 00 del ; 1
car choice mixed at $18 00 del.
CORN. Market Is fairly supplied.
Receipts of White have been more liberal
and the market is easier; closed to-day at
49c. for White, in bulk on the track in car
loads. Mixed remains about tho same as
and 2 cars in sacks del at 60c. 3 cars do
at 69c. 4 cars do, on orders Clc. 2 cars
in bulk on track at Sic. (sold early) and 2
cars do at 60c.
MIXED CORN.-3 cars in sacks, sold
on orders at Clc. and 2 cars yellow said
OATS. Very scarce. Tho new crop
cornea in slowly. Orders are accumulat
ing. Prices are unchanged. Sales con

hand, damaged by hot weather, which

CUICKENSVory dull for all kinds
but never especially for old young chick
ens command from $1.60 to $2.50 V dozen
according to size. 5 coops old Hens sold
to-day at $3.25 ft dozen tho market is
suppliod by wagons from the country.
FRUIT.-Vory little doing. The mar
ket is kept well supplied with peaches.
apples, water melons, etc., etc., by country
wagons. 60 boxes Grapes sold at l2Jcts. t
id, and a tow cholcn Peaches were sold to
day at 40 cts. 1 box.
PHOVISIONS.-Demand active, and
prices firm. The markot is scantily sup
plied. Wo note sales of 1000 lbs. Shoul
ders at 0 ; 1000 lbs. Clear Sides at 9c. and
1000 lbs. Clear Ribbed Sides at 8c. There
is no lard In tbo market.
BRAN. Nothing doing. Wo note
