be correct, Mr. Greeley can lose 0 percent,
of tho Democratic voto nnd yet receive
176,804 majority, or Grant can get 10 per
cent, of tho Democratic voto and yet
Greeley will rcceivo 128,074 maorlly.

expressly provided that it shall be hold
