tion in regard to how tho militia was
called out, or for what purpose.

Dodson s otDcers coming up and taking
him to one side. Mr. Donahoo passed into
a store near by. About halfan hour after
ward some onecamo tin behind him and
slapped him on tho shoulder roughly. On
turning around ho saw it was Dodson. The
latter threw back his coat and displayed

to Littio Hock via Fort Smith.

versation ho only desired to gut a state

grcntly relieved whon tho curs started,
and has no great desire to travel through
Arkansas again, especially in that direc
tion. Mr. D. sorved threo years in tho
army of tho Potomac, on tho Federal side,
during tho war. Ho says ho never sow as
moan and rough looking sot of men in his
life as Dodson's militia.
