CAIRO BULLETIN.
WHAT A DEMOCRAT THINKS OF
SIOREY.
A short timo ago, J. W. Browne, Esq.,
of Karlvllle, was speaking in Aurora,
when ho was Interrupted by a riucstlon as
to the Louitvillo convention. Ho replied
in the following terms, which will bo
generally acknowledged to bo appropri
ate :
"I am asked what I have to say about
tho Louitvillo convention. Tho Louis
villo convention is tho home
guard of Grant. Tho delegates
are tho dogs which eat the
crumb which fall from their master's la
ble. lllanton Duncan it an unconsciona
ble ass and demented dainphool. Wilbur
F. Storey, tho scavenger of this conven
tion, which really sat nt Washington, and
fraudulently toot to itself a local habita
tion and a name at Lo'iisville, I know
him well. I know him from tho first
egg ho tucked in Detroit, until
he became a rotten egg In Chi
cago. Ha Is the vomit and spew
of a dirty dog from a dirty
kennel. Morally debauched from head
to fool rotten from belly to back
bone, his passage through lifo leavet tho
trail of the serpent upon everything he
touches. Instinctively a liar troin his
mother's womb, ho has so improved upon
his natural endowment as to bo justly re
garded ns the lather ol all lying. Ut
terly debauched morally, and addled In
brain by lecherous and immoral practices,
until he cannot distinguish between right
and wrong, doconcy and indecency, he
flills the 'Times' with sensational lie, man
ufactured to order in the 'Times' office
daily, with half concealed and opn dis
gusting lewdness, written by tho dirty
pimps, spies and slobberheads employed
byhlrn, until the 'Times' hs become a
stench In tho nostril of all decent men.
The Chicago Times ' is the head and tail
of dirty journalism in Chicago. Banish
it from your family and place of business.
It every touch is moral contamination.
Take tho ' Tribune ' and you will have an
independent, out-spoken, moral journal.
In this wy you will likely mmmence a
true reform. In no other way can you
moro effectually inaugurate a purer re
form In privato and public affairs. I
have already wasted too much time upon
this Wilbur F. Storey."
