Bar teus preached to a large and appreciative audience at the Marmon school house Sunday afternoon. Here after we will enjoy cburcb privileges as Rev. Barteus haB consented to hold ser vices here every three weeks. He is a furceful and logical speaker and we trust much good tfill result from his work here. He left early Monday morning for Crosby where be has an appoint ment.. We hope the farmers along the Mud dy who have land under the proposed ditch will get in line election day and authorize the signing up of the contract with the See. of the Interior. Total enrollment 298 Enrollment for the month 259 Average daily attendance 234 Within a week after the close of each school month report cards are given all pupils showing their standings for the past month. In these standings 100 is excellent, 80 to 90 good, 70 to 80 fair, and below 70 Roor, It is hoped that parents will look over these reports carefully and urge children to give close enough attention to their school work to bring their standings up to 80 at least. Seventy is the passing mark, but stand ings between 70 and 80 cannot lie de pended upon, for a possible failure to ward the end of the year may bring the average below passing. C.
