'Thursday, July 5, 1917. IT'S H(GH GOODrs ow( 1 HOW TELLS HOW IHEJPARTY WENT WILLIAMS COUNTY POET RE CALLS PLEASANT OCCASION —PEOPLE YOU KNOW The following lines are contributed by E. A. How and those mentioned in the stroy will well remember the occasion that inspired the lines: The business men and Commercial 'Club, they did decide To give the Missouri Ridge Farmers Club a'joy ride. To the Missouri Ridge Club this was quite a charm Their desination was the Nelson Farm. So on the third of August to Willis ton we did flock, For we were 'to leave Williston at seven o'clock. ... When we arrived in Wiliston there was fears and jars For we were shy a few more cars. But the business men were on the ground And a few more cars they quickly found. We loaded up was happy then, We left Williston at twenty minutes after ten. There were fifteen cars in the flock, We stopped at the Heffelfinger farm to view the stock, The next stop that we made, we drove in on the ground There was no one there to show us around, We viewed the stock and as we walk ed around We saw a silo in the ground. The very next stop that we {pade They had a whole barrel of lemonade. We viewed the stock and were return ing to the cars When man says "Sal Hall, come see my pigs!" The man went to the pen and says "Ahoy" Some of the pigs belong to the boy. To see these pigs, come out of the pen was a sight. He says, "The boy's pigs have a tab on the left ear mine on the right." We arrited at Mr. Nelson's somewhat late But the flags of welcome were still on the gate. We saw a sight, that beautiful and fine, The automobiles all up in a line. The women crossed the creek into the woods, The men carried the baskets that held the goods, The women spread their table eovers on the ground, Put on the grub and we all gathered round. There was Sam Greengard all in a flutter To see so much fried chicken and nice bread and butter. There was Paul Leonhardy with his grin He was in to the chicken up to his chin. Then B. J. Schorroger with a twinkle in his eye He says "Say, please pass me the pie." There was secretary Morrell with his eyesight dim He was looking around for a girl to eat onions with. Those who stayed at home missed a fine trip We listened to a song from six ladies and Mrs. Blankenship. We listened attentively, every one each While Alex Lind delivered a nice lit tle speech. In the shade it was C90I it was warm. & & Club. E. W. Hall. in the sun Mr. Nelson invited us over to look at his farm. Mr. Nelson is a man who will never be in need He is cutting a hundred acres of al falfa for seed." We have had a good time and lots of fun And we are now on our howeward run. All aboard now, the horn does toot Charley Chaplin's Comic Capers For we will make a stop at Gimber lings. Up hill down hill it was a fine sight to be seen, Cromwell Dixon could have caught us with his flying machine. It has been told and will be told again That he made a fool of Jim Hills passenger train. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson we thank them, We also thank the business, men, When on the ride there was not one plAce to mar, We thank every one who furnished the cars. We did not write thestklines any one to snub, We want to thank the Commercial We had a good oty time both great and small And if you doubt my word just ask I could tell you more but just now I will sign my name E. A. How. LOCATION OF SILO The silo should be located with a view to making it convenient to feed the silage. If possible the silo should be at the end of the feeding alley so that a truck can be run up to the silo for filling and then moved along in front of managers in distributing t^ie silage. Twelve cows few 40 poiirips a day will need a quarter of a ton of silage. It is best to have the silo outside of the barn but con nected to the barn with an alleyway or place it so that the chute will just reach the barn. The silo inside the born takes up valuable space and there will be silage door from it. The silo outside the barn will freeze some but this can be reduced to a minimum by (laving a good roof oh the silo and by taking out the silage right.—Agr. Ex. Dept. N.D.Agr.College. D1XMBM IIP TOO BOifT FEEL MGMT Says glass of hot water with phosphate before breakfast washes out poisons. If you wake up with a bad taste, bad breath and tongue is coated it your head is dull or aching if what you eat sours and forms gas and acid 'n stom ach, or you are bilious, constipated, nervous, sallow and can't get feeling just right, begin inside bathing. Drink before breakfast, a glass of real hot water with a teaspoonful of limestone phosphate in it. This will flush the poisons and toxins from stomach, liver, kidneys and bowels and cleanse, sweeten and purify the entire alimen tary tract. Do your inside bathing Im mediately upon arising in the morning to wash out of the system all the pre vious day's poisonous waste, gases and sour bile before putting more food into the stomach. To feel like young folks feel like you felt before your blood, nerves and muscles became loaded with body im purities, get from your pharmacist a quarter pound of limestone phosphate which is Inexpensive and almost taste less, except for a sourish twinge which is not unpleasant. Just as soap and hot water act OQ the skin, cleansing,' sweetening and freshening, so hot water and limestone phosphate act .on the stomach, liver, kidneys and bowels. Men and women who are usually constipated, bilious, headachy or have any stomach dis order should begin this inside bathing before breakfast. They are assured they will become real cranks on the subject shortly NOTICE OF MORTGAGE PORE-.
