Trsicy, Office under Postofficc MURRAY TO SUE NELS TUEFUESON Claims That he Paid $2000 on Seven Cottages and That Nels Will Not Turn Over the Deeds to the Same~-Csse Will be Interesting. if Judge Murray, the city asses sor, is bringing an action again rtt Nels ,J" Tuefueson, who ownf over thirty houses in Minot, to gain title to seven of those houses, which he bought for $7000, and on which he claims to have paid already $2000. tfe The difficulty arose over the fact that Murray assessed Tue |p§ fues on's cottages at their full |p| value, a fact which the Indepen H| dfentsaid two weeks ago would cause more or less trouble. Tue fueson objected to Murray's as sessing them for $7,500 and im mediately after inserted an ad vertisement in the Minot papers •mt stating that he would sell all of the houses for $7000, or $500 less than the assessor placed their value at. Murray called Tuefueson on his offer and handed him a check 4for $2000. Tuefueson claimed hat he was willing to take that latnount for the property, but iays his wife objected to signing ihe papers. Murray said he ould accept title to the proper anyway providing Tuefueson ould state in it that the prop erty was never a part of hiS omestead. This Tuefueson re sed to do, but got the $2000 :heek cashed, and at this writing still has the money—and the eeds to the property. Rasniussen. an Imperial farmer thirty-five years of age, and good look ing as well ae rich, visited Judge Mur rays matrimonial bureau Monday and stated that he was willing to give 8150 for a wife. He didn't care if she was a little cross-eyed and whether or not she had a few teeth missing, but one of the stipulations was that she must be a good cook. In fact that was to be the essential quality. N.o woman, however young, and handsome, is good enough for Mr. Kasmussen, unless she can make bread like mother used to make it. Rasmussea stated that he had many cares as a farmer and could no longer afford to do his own cooking. The Judge stated that he would do the best he could for the ionely swain from Imperial and in the.meantime ad vised him to wait with patience. Kasmussen for several days was glued fast to the Judge's offices and would hardly leave it for his meals. While the judge has many applica tions from young women, old maids and widows of uncertain ages, he has found none that could quite suit Mr. Rasmus sen as to her cooking propensities and the forlorn bachelor was compelled to go home without a wife. lie .--tated that while he did not ba.o the ready money, he was perfectly will ing to mortgage his horses with which to raiso the price.
