tow tots WOMAN TO Mrs. Gustav Larson Answers Sum mons of Her Master Friday Eve ning—Funeral at Burlington Mrs. Gustav Larson of this city, died at a local hospital at 8 o'clock on Friday evening. She was able to be up the Monday preceding her death and it was believed that she would recover nicely, when she took a change for the worse and declined rapidly. The funeral was held Sunday from the Presbyterian church at Burlington, Rev. T. U. Richmond preaching a most comforting sermon. Interment was made at Burlington. Mrs. Larson was 49 years of age and leaves a husband and four children, who have the sincere sympathy of many friends. Christiana May was born in Den mark near Horssens, coming to Amer ica in the spring of 1888. She lived for a time in Minneapolis where she met and married Mr. Larson in 1891. In 1896 Mr. and Mrs. Larson came to Ward county, locating at Davis. Later they settled on a farm near Burling ton which Mr. Larson still owns. About two years ago they moved to this city. Mrs. Larson's parents both died in Denmark and she is the last of the entire family to be called hence. Mrs. Larson was a woman of lovely character, who by her sweet manners won a large concourse of friends. She will be missed not only around the family circle but in the homes of her manv friends as well. SHAKESPERIAN FESTIVAL AT LINCOLN PARK Northwestern Summer School Will Produce "As You Like It"—More Than 100 in the Cast. On Friday night, August 4th, a sum mer school festival, "Shakespeare Among the Nations," will be given by the students on the shore of the little lake in Lincoln park, near the Normal school. S SUMMER SCHOOL NOTES. 8 Dr. Maria Sanford, professor em eritus of English at the University of Minnesota, nas occupied the assem bly periods and the institute hour dur ing the greater part .of the week. For a teacher of more than a half cen tury's active service, she is a most re markable example of plain living and high thinking. It is a rare instance of combined physical and mental vig or in a person of eighty years of age. Miss Sanford has given the students of the Summer school much practical benefit and much of personal inspira tion. The Shakespearean program is de veloping under the combined efforts of the faculty and students of the Sum mer school. It will be presented Fri day evening, Aug. 4. There will be about 100 parts and the music, dances, etc., will be in harmony with the play. WIFE OF REV. E. B. JOHNSON PASSES AWAW AT FARGO Mrs. E. B. Johnson, aged 24 years, wife of Rev. E. B. Johnson of Fargo, passed away at her home in that city Tuesday, following an illness from an inward growth of a goiter. The fun eral will be held from the Baptist church in Minot Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. Mr. Deake in charge. The remains will be interred in the Willis township cemetery which is lo cated on Rev.
