Iirandvold, which with interest, amounts to $586.83, as a lien upon the fcllowinn described prem ises In Ward County, North Dakota, to wit: Si NWi, NJ SWJ Sec. 27, and the NHU Sec. 34, all In Township 1B3. Ranee 81, and WHEHRAS, there are certain mort gages, prior incumbrances upon the said premises, which are now due and about to be foreclosed, and WHEltl'JAS, the said Ole O. Brand vold has offered to pay $240.00 on said lien iuid Rive a note and crop mortgage for the balance, provided the county will release the lien as to the said prem ises, and WIlKlilSAS. the commissioners deein it to the best Interest of the county to accept the proposition. Powell, that the report of the checking committee, appointed to check the Offices of the county auditor and county treasurer for quarter ending Sep tember 30th, 1920, showing total receipts of $100,129.46, disbursements of $122, 570.39 and balance of $385,011.85, be ac cepted. approved and placcd on file. Powell that tho reports of the com mittee appointed to check the following offices for the quarter ending Septem ber 30th, 1920, be accepted, approved and placed on file: Office of County Superintendent, show ins receipts of $165.00. Office of Sheriff, showing collection of $1558.70, for delinquent personal taxes. Office of Clerk of District Court, show ing collection of $886.00. Motion carried. Moved by Com. Hayes that the statement of de linquent personal property taxes for 1917 and prior collected by the sheriff (luring the month of November, 1920, showing collection of $5.46, be accepted, approved and the auditor Instructed to issue warrant In the amount of $3.70 in payment of above services. Vandenoever that the following resolution be accepted, approved and placed on file: RESOLUTION: VvliEREAS, there appears on record the Register of Deeds office, a seed Lr^n iand instrument No. 197112, as filed in his office, given by one Nazan Osadesky, giving as his ad dress at that time. D., to-wit: the NEJ Sec. 4, Township 157, Range 84, and known as 5?PiJ!?ct ®89 and instrument No. 141370, as filed in the Register of Deeds office, Ward County, N. D., and WHEREAS, certain mortgages and prior incumbrances on said contract are now due and about to be foreclosed, and WHEREAS, Ed Christiansen, of Mlnot N. Krantz, that the chairman be and hereby is instructed to appoint the fol lowing committees to take inventories of the various offices of Ward County, as to furniture, fixtures and records be longing to Wr.rd County, committees to file reports with the county auditor on or before December 22nd, 1920, and the chair appoints the following com mittees: Committee o.i offices of County Aud itor, County Treasurer, County Judge. Register of Deeds, Superintendent of Schools, Sheriff, County Jail and boiler rooms. Commissioners Hayes and Van denoever. Krantz that the following applica tion for abatement of taxes in general form, be accepted, and approved and the auditor instructed to forward same to State Tax Commission for approval: Application of R. Martin, Command ant of the local branch of the Salvation Army, on Lots 1 and 2 and Nl Lot 3, Block 11, Brooklyn Addition to the City of Minot. Motion carried. Moved by Com. Hayes seconded by Com. Krantz, that the application of Paris Price for abatement of hail insur ance as to the NEJ Sec. 18, Township 159, Range 87, be rejected for the rea son of insufficient explanation Motion carried. Moved by Com. Krantz, seconded by Com. Vandenoever that the following applications for abatement of taxes in general form be rejected: Application of F. W. Frank, of May land township, for moneys and credits for the reason it was not recommended by the tax supervisor. Also application of L. J. Brenner as to the S» Sec. 33, Township 157, Range 81, for the reason that this board has no knowledge as to valuation of said quarter. Also application of J. Zinke, city of Minot, as to personal property tax for the year 1911, wherein affiant states that he was not a resident of the city of Minot on April 1st, 1911, the applica tion does not state that the above prop erty was not in Ward County at that time. Hayes that the amount of $772.00 be allowed on the bill of Waterford Township for grading six miles of road fining from Section 33 due north in the SW corner of Section 33. Vandenoever, that $15.00 be al lowed on bill of Margaret Township for 101 'miles of l-oad grading in various parts of the township, and the auditor Instructed to isriue warrant in that amount in payment of saline.
