Mrs. John Biek Is homo from the hospital at Minot. She is improving in health very slowly. Alpha Sharar of Minot visited rela tives and friends here over Sunday. The Misses (Jertrude Welty and Loreen Briar visited friends at Velva last week. H. T. Hage returned from Ktrick. Wis.. Saturday. He brought his little daughter. Ardis, with him. w. A. Kuth and family were shopping in Minot Friday. Mrs J. (!. llavlena entertained the sehool board and the Seniors, also the parents, Friday night. Mrs. Marie Pitkin returned Thursday from Spring Krook where she has been visiting for several weeks. Miss Mae 1 uhhard of Logan was a lawyer visitor the first of the week. Kosooe Bailey left Monday night for High'Prairie, Albert, where he has a pastorate for the Baptist Church during the summer. Miss Katherine Daniels spent Thurs day at Velva visiting friends. S. 1. Briar s^ent Sunday with his family here. John Sandstrom has moved his family to Berthold. Carl Kittleson now has charge of the Robinson Garage. Mr. Spacht held his annual election Tuesday. The Annual Sawyer Picnic will^be held June 21. A good program Is 'as sured. Races, ball same and other sports. Ed Booth left for Montana Wednes day to look up a new location. Ed Is a taxidermist and will give up farming. The King road drags are kppt busy these days as it has rained so often for the past few weeks. Here's hoping they will be busy the rest of the summer. Mrs. Bessie Johnson was over from Granville Tuesday. Remholdt Bros, were at Burlington Tuesday moving their well drill. Mrs. Marie Pitkin has opened up a restaurant in her building on Main street. The Ward County Sunday School con vention will be held at River.side Park June 18.
