Gels $560.30 For The Loss ' Of Two Fingers The State Industrial Commission Thursday granted an award to Edward Bennett, of 709 East Front street, Mt. Vernon, of $560.30 for an Injury re cently sustained by him while in the employ of the C. & G. Cooper Co., at Mt. Vernon. The award of the com mission was granted under the pro visions of the Ohio Workmen's Com pensation Law. The Injury consisted of loss of two fingers of right hand. Two now members were received: Light refreshments were served at the conclusion of the .program. - BENNETT COMMITTEES TWO JUDGES Take The Oath Of Office On Wednesday Judqe Houck Of Court Of Appeals And Judge Blair Of Common Pleas Court Hon. Lewis D. Houck, tho newly' elected Judge of tho court of appeals, was given tho oath of office by Pro bate Judgo Philip W. Wllklns at tho Knox county court houso on Wednes day afternoon at 3:30 oclock. The ceremony took place In the onice of JUDGE LEWI8 B. HOUCK the probate Judge and was witnessed by all the officials of the court house and a number of intimate friends of Mr. Houck. After the oath had been administered, cigars and candy were passed by the new Judge of the court of appeals. Mr. Houck takes up his active duties on February 9, 1915, suc ceeding Judge R. M. Van Voorhis of JUDGE PARK B. BLAIR Coshocton. Judge Houck's oath was filed in the office of the clerk of courts of Knox county. Judge Park B. Dlalr, former probate judge of Knox county, who was elect ed Judge of the court of common pleas at the November election, was sworn into office by Mr. Columbus Ewalt, notary public, on Wednesday. Judge Blair assumes his office on the first day of January, 1915. iuSi Citizens' Association, To Be Represented At The Meeting Of Commer cial Clubs In Ohio A meeting of the presidents and secretaries of the various commercial clubs of Ohio will be hed at the Ath letic Club, Columbus, on Dec, 18. The stated purpose of the meeting is to formulate legislative plans for the coming session. At the regular meet ing of the Citizens' Association Wed nesday evening, It was decided that President William A. Ackerman and Secretary Luther A. Stream should represent the local organization at the meeting. The present membership commit tee, with the addition of Messrs. Mar cus A. Rosenthall and A. J.
