MjY THEEE WEEKS 'til Easter. Think of it! It hardly seems possible that Easter is so near at
hand. But that is what the calendar tells us. It was only through an unusual effort that -we got our
Easter offerings together so early. Although no formal opening awaits you -the coming week, the
whole store in a measure partakes of the nature of an opening as every department is brimful of
beautiful things for immediate and Easter wear. We have exercised special care this year in the se
lection of our general spring stock and especially what will be wanted for Easter wear.
Already Easter buying has been brisk, but the next two weeks we confid ently expect the greatest amount of business that has ever been con
densed into that short space of time. In ready-to-wear, in addition to offering you the widest possible range of selection in everything that is
stylish, we want to emphasize the fact that our Alteration Department has been greatly strengthened and garments needed for wear right now

The Trimming for the Easter Gown
If the Easter gown is not to be bought ready made, but is to be fashioned by a dressmaker, or your
own skillful fingers, you will be interested in next week's trimming display. Trimmings, this sea
son, are roughly divided into two classes laces and other trimmings.
LACES. HAND CROCHETED BANDS.
The mostfashionable laces tins spring are the
Venise. Oriental, Baiby Irish and Japa. In these
we show allovers, bands and edgings. Among the
novelties "we mention Hand Crocheted Bands and
Gold Lace.
OTHER TRIMMINGS.
Soutache Braids, Spangled and Jeweled Bands,
Spangled Xets, Gold Embroidered Nets and Set
tings, Braided Net Bands ana Alliques of various
sorts.
About the newest thing in trimmings are these
Itand crocheted lace bands. Thej come in all

The major portion of our spring millinery is nowr
in, and awaits your selection next week. ISTever
before has the Calisher Millinery Section been
favored with such advance buying as has been
the case the past few weeks. We believe in sell
ing millinery of merit at attractive prices, pre
