TOMBSTONE LOSES RAILWAY
AND MINE COMPANY OFFICES.
Tombstone, Ariz., June 30. Notice
has been given ofthe removal of the
general offices of the Imperial Copper
company, the Southern Arizona Smelt
ing company, and the Arizona Southern
Railroad company from Tombstone to
Silver Bell, under the authority of the
directors and president Frank M. Mur
phy, of the companies. The transfer
will be made on July 1.
The change is to be made, it is
stated, for reasons of economy in the
handling of the clerical forces. The
building of the Port Lobos railroad
will necessitate large additions to the
force of clerks and the offices of the
railroad company will necessarily be
at the proposed northern terminus. It j
is considered that it will be more ad
vantageous to have the forces concen
trated than divided between Tombstone
