AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE
SALE OF UNDRAWN FOWLS
AND POULTRY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF EL,
EL, PASO:
Section 1.
It shall be unlawful for any person
within the corporate limits of the city
of El Paso to sell, expose for sale,
offer for sale or in any manner keep
for sale any slaughtered fowl or poul
try whatever.unless same shall have
been drawn within one hour after same
shall have been slaughtered. By the
term or expression "drawn"- is meant
the removal of the intestines from the
interior, and by the term "undrawn
fowl" is meant a fowl from the in
terior of which the intestines -have not
been wholly removed, and any person
offending against this ordinance shall
be fined not less than five nor more
than one hundred dollars.
Section 2.
This ordinance shall not apply to any
wild game bird weighing less than
three pounds.
Section 3.
A great public emergency having
arisen the charter rule requiring that
an ordinance be read at two successive
regular meetings of the City Council,.
Is hereby suspended by the consent of
the mayor and the unanimous vote of
the aldermen present, and this ordi
nance shall be in force and effect from
and after it passage and approval.
