is directed to advertise for bids for
the construction of a pavement on
South Santa Fe street from the inter
section of the south line of Improve
ment District Xo. 1 to the north line
of Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Reser
Said pavement in all respects to con
form with the specifications therefor
prepared by the City Engineer, and
now on file in his office, wnlch said
specifications have been approved by
this council. Saidadvertlsement shall
appear In each Issue of the official
paper which appears during the tan
(10) days prior to the loth day of
December, 1910. All bids must be sealed
and each be accompanied by a certi
fied check In the some of one thou
sand ($1000) dollars, payable to the
Mayor of the City of El Paso, and
which shall become the property of
the cit3' in the event that the bidder,
if successful, does not within ten (10)
days of the acceptance of his bid, enter
into a contract with the City of El
