That the. City Clerk be and hereby
is directed to advertise for bids for
the construction of a pavement -on
South Santa Fe street from the inter
section of the south line of Improve
ment District Xo. 1 to the north line
of Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Reser
vation. Said pavement in all respeots to con-
prepared by the City Engineer, and
now on file in his office, which said
specifications have been, approved by
this council. Said advertisement shall
appear in each issue of the official
paper which appears during the tan
(10) days prior to the 15th day of
December, 1910. All bids must be sealed
and each be accompanied by a certi
fied check in the some of one thou
sand ($1000) dollars, payable to the
Mayor of the City of El Paso, and
which shall become the property of
the city In the event that the bidder,
if successful, does not within ten (10)
days of the acceptance of his bid, enter
into a contract with the City of El
Paso to complete said pavement in ac
cordance with said specifications with
in four (4) months from the time of
the signing of the contract All bids
