For a quarter of a century, the Hizson store has enjoyed
the confidence and patronage of the majority of the railroad men
running into El Paso.
Recently, a slander has been circulated to the effect
that Hixson didn't "give a d nf for the business of railroad 8n.
Probably two months ago, this was told us by several of
our friends among the railroad men, but we thought that it would
wear itself out.
However, "we find that many railroad men are talcing this
-slander at its face value.
To show you how' utterly unfounded this ruaor is, we
propose not only to give it the lie but the greatest possible
We wish to say that the unqualified suocess of the Hixson
Company has been largely due to the patronage of the railroad sen
of El Paso and throughout the Southwest. We are anxious to retain
our pleasant relations with all of you, and are today in position
to serve you better than at any time in the history of the Hixson
In addition to this direct letter, we extend each and
every one of you a cordial invitation to visit us, when we will '
take pleasure in expressing personally what we think of the false .
allegation that has gone forth.
Extending you Thanksgiving Greetings, we are'
